The Centers of Disease Control came to us wanting to shed light on an overlooked health crisis in the United States— our staggering maternal mortality rate.

We gave the women, their families, and healthcare providers with first-hand experience a voice to share their experiences and encourage others to learn and recognize the urgent maternal signs for potentially lifesaving intervention.
